Hotel Valley Ho

Love that mid-century modern, retro vibe? Then book a stay at the Hotel Valley Ho! Since it opened its doors in 1956, this downtown Scottsdale institution has long attracted the hip and stylish. Designed by minimalist architect Edward Varney, the Valley Ho's guest list included luminaries such as Zsa Zsa Gabor, Bing Crosby and Tony Curtis. An extensive renovation a few years ago brought back the star-studded glamor, and it's easy to imagine yourself hanging with these iconic stars at the Hotel Valley Ho's two pools. The serene OHasis pool is perfect for laps or lounging under the palms, with cocktails and food at hand. The more lively OH pool offers live music, colorful cabanas, and cocktails.

The Phoenician

If you're in the mood for pampering, reserve some pool time at The Phoenician. Claim your spot alongside one of the resort's eight pools, complete with shady cabanas and views of Camelback Mountain. In between spa treatments and poolside dining, take a minute to appreciate the stunning mother-of-pearl tile work throughout. If you stay over on a Saturday, don't miss The Phoenician's "Dive In Movie" series with featured films shown while you swim.

Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix
